Week 81 Good news and pictures!

Due to the Mission President in Tegucigalpa leaving and a new one coming in, Elder Garry will be coming home 3 weeks early. His new home date is June 15th!!

Week 79 Back at it!

Well honestly this week wasn't full of fun stories because I was just sick and dying of a sickness call chikungunya. The thing is that in our house, there is a pila of water, or a big like bowl of water that has all of the water that we use for the week. Because of that, there come a lot of mosquitoes. There are a ton in our house at all times. I am sure that is how I got it. I was just sick with a super high fever all week and with huge aches and pains but now I am fine!!! After 2 shots, one in each butt cheek, and 2 times getting blood drawn, I feel great. Fun fact!!! In my blood test, it showed what type of blood I am, O- !!!

It was dads birthday this week so I want everyone who didn't write him, to go ahead and write him this week and say happy birthday!! Everyday I think to myself while I am sick or tired or just stressed, what would my dad do. Everytime I always seem to be lead out of the problem. He's the best and I'm so grateful that he is my dad! That was my quick shout out to my good ole popps!

Also this week, or really today, we went to the temple!! I love it so much. the temple really just helps and heals. I've been kind of down because of the sickness and just frustrated because of things in the ward here so being in the temple was just so nice. I went into the temple with a big question and I left knowing the exact answer. Just entering the property of the temple has a huge punch to the face of the Holy Ghost and then entering is even better. How can you look at the temple and even have a question that the church isn't true. It just has to be.  It is the only one that believes in AFTER. Everyone else just says we die and we go to heaven or hell. It isn't just that easy. But thanks to the temple, there are answers and the possibility of exaltation. I just love it so much!

Week 78 Really sick!

Hey I'm just gonna write something quick for my blog because I'm sick and dying.

So this week I got a fun sickness called Chikungunya. And when I say fun, I lied. It sucks. What it does is just makes me want to die. It gives me a ton of pain in the joints and even just writing I am suffering. Even the inside of my ear hurts. The nurse told me that I wont be able to work for like at least a week. So there goes one week of the last two weeks that we have in this transfer.

A fun story is that new years was crazy. Here in Honduras, they all make huge life sized dolls and just fill them with fire crackers and fire works. Then at 12 they just light it up and it sounds like world war 3 outside haha this year they put it right next to our window and I was like freaking out for 3 seconds until I realized what it was. They also taped Donald Trumps face to one. They really hate that guy.

Week 77 Photos

Week 75

So basically this week wasn't the best. do you remember our recent convert named Sindy who was super valiant and strong and doing whats right even though her family wasn't supportive......... we saw her in the street and she basically told us that her family disowned her and that she doesn't know if she will be able to go to church and be apart of the church....... that same day like 7 lessons fell. It all sucked, a terrible day. But that same day at night, we were walking to dinner all depressed and we decided to go visit an old investigator.... she wasn't living the law of chastity so she never got baptized. She tells us that her boyfriend moved out and that she is now ready for baptism!!! So basically its a lesson of enduring to the end. That even though it alll sucks so much, just finish strong!!!

So it turned out to be a great day!!

Week 74 (20 days til my Skype call!) Pictures

My week was great!! I think the best part of it all was that we found 2 new investigators this week who honestly really do want to get baptized. They are twins! And just to make the world more confused as to who is who, they are both named Carlos!!!! #onlyinhonduras

But they are like 12 and super smart and understand the whole thing perfectly. So we met them and they told us that they used to go to church and my comp recognized them and so they already had the attendance for church! We taught them and they were super excited!! So we finished the lesson and we head out.. we come back the day after and they are now afraid to talk to us.... stupid satan is always messing up my plans. I guess a neighbor saw us teaching the family and they made sure to let them know that we worship the devil and don't believe in the bible and that apparently she used to be a member and is grateful to God for pulling her out of that terrible church........................

So we went back and we had a dope lesson. The mom is still a bit sketched out about having her kids baptized so we will see how it all works out.

We are out here just suffering though. We haven't had anyone willing to wash our clothes because the lady that used to do it doesn't. Another long story not really worth telling. But we have gone so long without clothes. I don't know how I haven't ran out of clothes though. My white shirts are holding strong. But yesterday I had to go to church with a dirty shirt.... so to fix the problem, I put on a sweater!! The good news is that we should have someone willing to wash it in their washing machine!!!!!! I didn't even know those things existed down here!!!! And she says its free!! We just have to buy our own soap!!! I'm so excited! CLEAN CLOTHES!

Anyways, not really anythings out of the ordinary this week. we had a good week with a lot of lessons. We will have transfers but me and Elder Avila are staying together. I will be his last companion!!
